How to Support Ukraine on Tock

Frame is raising money to support relief efforts for the Ukrainian people with a cultural dinner that will take place over three days. The menu features caviar, borscht, and chicken Kyiv. Inside seating has sold out, but you can still reserve a private yurt, March 25th-27th.

Rob Filipchuk, who opened The Glass Monkey in 2013, is contributing to relief efforts through liters of borscht with 100% of proceeds going to an organization called Come Back Alive. He writes on Instagram, “I grew up in a home steeped in Ukrainian tradition. I attended Ukrainian Church, took Ukrainian dance lessons for over 14 years, and learned the written & spoken language.” Liters of borscht are available March 10th-11th and donations will be matched.

This family-owned Ukrainian restaurant we will be setting up donations for the Friends of Ukraine Defense Forces Fund (FUDF). Since 2014, FUDF has provided humanitarian aid and assistance to Ukraine’s courageous soldiers, volunteers, and families of the fallen heroes. The donation box is located at the restaurant. Stop in for a meal, leave a donation, and grab a cookie on your way out.

This weekend, the neighborhood Italian deli Grazie Grazie will participate in a two-day pizza pop-up to help feed Ukrainian refugees. Pre-order pizza, sandwiches, Ukraine flag cupcakes, and more. The pop-up will take place at Declaration on 804 V Street NW. All proceeds go directly to the World Central Kitchen.

Bill Hill’s family-owned Napa Valley Tasting Barn, nestled in the eastern hills of Napa Valley, is donating fees from on-site wine tastings to vetted relief efforts to aid the Ukrainian people. Make a reservation today for a wine flight tasting experience.

For the month of March, Ration is offering a special with all proceeds from the dish going to the Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal fund. Stop in and order the latke with beets compressed in rosemary oil with koji fermented potato soubise, and pear vinaigrette. It’s available à la carte or as an addition to the tasting menu.

Join Vito’s on March 14th for an evening of Ukrainian folk music by Mike Owcharuk and drink specials featuring Hood River Distillers. Twenty percent of sales will be sent to Razom for Ukraine. The music will last from 8-10 p.m. but the fundraising goes all night.
