Where to Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month: Tacos, Paella, & Afternoon Tea

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, we rounded up a few delicious events happening across the country. What better way to celebrate than with friends and family over tacos and paella?

Rethink Food
Rethink x Tacombi: Tacos & Cocktails
Miami, FL - September 15
Rethink Food is a NYC-based nonprofit organization on a mission to create a more sustainable and equitable food system. The team is heading to Miami on September 15th for a one-night event with the Tacombi Foundation. Frame
Mexican Dinner Party with Chef Eddie Vargas
Hazel Park, MI - September 8
Chef Eddie Vargas of El Parian Hospitality returns to Frame for his second residency on September 8th. Known for crafting the Jaliscan cuisine of his roots (including his family’s prized birria recipe), Vargas has been working in the food industry his entire life. Join Vargas in celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a hyper-seasonal tour of Mexico, served from Frame’s open kitchen.

Subterra Kitchen & Cellar
Raíces Unidas Winemaker Dinner
Newberg, OR - September 11
Oregon’s Hispanic wineries are coming together for a six-course winemaker dinner on September 11th. The event tagline, Raíces Unidas, or United Roots, focuses on the cultural and literal vine roots that bring the participants together in celebrating their small but growing coalition in the winemaking industry. Proceeds will benefit Ahivoy, a local nonprofit that creates opportunities and empowers Latinx and Hispanic vineyard workers of the Willamette Valley.

The Tea Cart
Encanto Afternoon Tea
Berryville, VA - September 22-25
Bring the kiddos to a 3-course Encanto-themed afternoon tea experience with all of the Latin flair. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, you’ll enjoy loose leaf teas, plus sweet and savory treats, while helping the Madrigals save the magic surrounding the Encanto.

Enriquez Estate Wines
Brunch in the Vineyard
Forestville, CA - September 18
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with Brunch in the Vineyards on September 18th. Enriquez Estate will host chef Robert of Soco Paella and chef Carlos of Guiso Latin Fusion for their first-ever “Paella Off.” Expect award-winning wines, excellent food, and live music by Benny Bassett.
